Michael Florendo
Bio
Michael is a civil engineering and water resources professional with over 28 years of experience delivering infrastructure projects across western Canada and the USA.
He is recognized for his strategic leadership, technical expertise, and client-focused approach, helping teams successfully navigate demanding timelines and budget considerations. With experience as a project and program manager, and technical advisor, Michael has led the planning, design, and construction of over $500 million in capital projects across the water, transportation, municipal, and industrial sectors.
Michael works closely with stakeholders, consultants, and contractors to navigate project risks, regulatory requirements, and permitting processes. He has served as both an owner’s advisor and design consultant due to his experience with alternative delivery models, including design-build and P3 projects.
At RVA, Michael focuses on strategic planning, market development, and team building. He fosters strong client relationships and supports the delivery of resilient, sustainable infrastructure that meets the needs of communities.
