RVA was retained to provide design and construction review services for the Phase 3 Upgrades at the Peterborough WWTP. The project included construction of a new aerated grit tank with a pump room (including a grit pump and piping); new grit and channel aeration tank blowers, complete with associated piping, electrical works and controls; and new primary clarifiers #5 to 8, including pipe galleries.
Additional work included construction of a new effluent water pump house; new biosolids dewatering and chemical facility; new second 900 mm diameter concrete pressure pipe raw sewage forcemain; and a new septage receiving station, complete with holding tank and associated bar screen, pump and piping. The project also involved construction of various sewage conveyance channels, bypass channels, and overflow channels, as well as new electrical and instrumentation and control equipment, and associated SCADA system upgrades.
