RVA Joins Town of Paradise and MUN for 2026 Capstone Project

Devon Groves (Engineering Designer) and Chris Newman (Senior Project Manager) from RVA’s St. John’s office were pleased to collaborate with the Town of Paradise and Memorial University, Newfoundland and Labrador’s (MUN) Civil Engineering Class of 2026 as part of this year’s Capstone Project. This collaboration gave students the opportunity to work on a forcemain twinning project for St. Thomas Line, applying their knowledge to real world infrastructure challenges.

The experience provided an opportunity to engage with #NextGenEngineers by sharing practical insights on constructability, risk management, scheduling, and long-term system performance, while also supporting hands on learning.

RVA values this initiative as it allows us to support the development of future engineers in Newfoundland and Labrador. Thank you to the Town of Paradise and the MUN Civil Engineering Department for the opportunity, and congratulations to all Capstone teams as they move forward in their careers.
