RVA Expands into Barrie with New Office and Regional Leadership Appointment

Barrie, ON – August 24, 2026 – R.V. Anderson Associates Limited (RVA), a leading engineering consulting and architecture firm is pleased to announce the opening of a new office in Barrie, Ontario.

As one of Canada’s growing regions, Barrie and Simcoe County continue to experience significant residential, commercial, and infrastructure growth. The new office cements RVA’s commitment to strengthening local relationships and supporting the evolving needs of the region.

Barrie office will enhance RVA’s ability to deliver responsive, high-quality engineering, consulting, and architectural services to clients across Simcoe County and surrounding areas with local workforce.

The new office will be led by Steve de Faria, who has been appointed Regional Manager, Barrie. Having joined RVA in the 1980s, Steve has built a distinguished career spanning nearly four decades, serving as Associate, Senior Associate, and Principal before stepping into this new leadership role. Steve has led many complex land development projects across Ontario, providing project management, contract administration, engineering, and advisory services. His breadth of experience, technical expertise, and commitment to client service make him well-positioned to lead RVA’s growth in Barrie and Simcoe County.

In his new role, Steve will lead business development and operational initiatives for the Barrie office while continuing to provide technical leadership and engineering expertise on land development projects. “I’m excited to lead our next chapter and contribute to the continued growth of our presence in Barrie and Simcoe County. I look forward to working closely with colleagues, clients, and the community while building on RVA’s strong culture of collaboration and client service,” Steve shared.
