Surge suppression tank solves water hammer issues in Niagara-on-the-Lake water system

R.V. Anderson Associates Limited (RVA) was retained by the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake to investigate a water hammer problem. As part of the investigation, a hydrant located near the dairy to recorded system pressures and special consideration was given to the hydrant pressure whenever it dropped below 310 kPA or increased above 760 kPa.
