Issues and Solutions for Small Systems

3 million homes in Canada rely on onsite or communal water and wastewater systems to meet their servicing needs. For small communities, there are alternative methods for handling sewage and designers must choose the most appropriate and cost effective solution for each individual circumstance. This presentation outlines the small community trends in Canada’s sewage treatment plants, provides examples of communities who are using innovative methods and the costs surrounding these trends.
