Dewatering Upgrades Improve Incinerator Performance at Greenway WWTP
by Tom Woodcock, R.V. Anderson Associates Limited
In July 2012 the City of London retained R.V. Anderson Associates Limited (RVA) to complete the design and contract administration of upgrading the solids dewatering process to centrifuges. The new centrifuge dewatering system consists of three FlottwegTM C7E centrifuges, each capable of processing 48 DT/day at 27-28% solids concentration. Each centrifuge has a dedicated sludge feed pump, cake pump, and polymer feed pump to create three separate dewatering trains.
