Reinventing industry from the ground up
Almost a quarter of the top infrastructure projects in the world today would not be possible without underground infrastructure. Global urbanization has only increased the demand for tunnel projects, with greater scale, ambition, and complexity than ever before. By combining world-class design with cross-functional delivery teams, we develop tailored design and construction documents for a wide variety of contexts, including temporary works in soil and rock, permanent linings, full build-outs of operational facilities within shafts, and provisions for safe entry into tunnels for operations and maintenance.
At RVA, we have been reinventing the tunnelling industry since the 1970s, when we were the first to use precast concrete segmental tunnel liners on the Neebing-McIntyre Trunk Sewer, until our present day, when we pioneered new forms of clean and energy with the largest Deep Lake Water Cooling system in the world. Since then, we’ve become established local and national industry leaders who have worked on some of the most complex and high-profile projects in sewer and watermain tunnels, shaft design, and consulting services for tunneling contractors. Our understanding of site-specific ground conditions and extensive work with underground structures gives us a unique insight on how tunnels and shafts are actually built – not just on paper. Whatever the geology or condition, depth or length, let us optimize your next project with practical, constructable solutions.
