R.V. Anderson Associates Limited (RVA) was retained by Maple Leaf Foods to assist in the redevelopment of 33 acres of industrial land in the Stockyards District on St. Clair Avenue west of Keele Street to residential uses. RVA was initially involved in environmental site assessments, building demolition and preliminary servicing studies for this Brownfield Redevelopment project. When Graywood Developments acquired an interest in the property, RVA was retained as the lead engineering and environmental consultant responsible for the project. This project received approvals for 15.0m public rights-of-way and 5.0m rear lanes.
RVA provided a package of engineering and environmental services to our client for environmental site assessment, decommissioning and redevelopment of the property. Our local experience, knowledge and contacts enabled approval of a particularly cost-effective design. All approvals and permits were obtained including: City of Toronto Works Department and Health Department, PUCC, Construction Permit, Road Occupancy Permit, MOE Certificate of Approval and a 6.3 m noise wall on public property.
