R.V. Anderson Associates Limited was retained to design and provide contract administration for the construction of Maki Point Subdivision. Due to technical challenges related to the construction and infrastructure, the land remained vacant in spite of being a prime parcel within the city. Topography is extreme, with severe rock faces and approaches to the waterfront. Extensive and detailed grading with controlled excavations and fills made the lots attractive to the housing market. To provide fire protection, the existing small diameter watermain was connected to an existing trunk watermain some 150 metres offshore resting in 20 metres of water on the bed Lake Nepahwin.
