Racing for Ireland, athlete Eoghan Clifford won gold in the Men’s C3 Time Trial at the Rio 2016 Summer Paralympics on Wednesday, September 14th.
A three-time World Champion in paracycling, Clifford also happens to be the brother of RVA employee Fergus Clifford, who is currently based in the Toronto office. Fergus has been in Brazil these past two weeks, cheering his brother on from the sidelines.
This was not Eoghan Clifford’s first Paralympic win this year, as he had previously won a bronze medal in the C3 3000-m Individual Pursuit paracycling event on September 6th.
He also placed 5th in the Men’s Road Race C1-2-3 on September 16th.
Congratulations to Eoghan on his spectacular performance this year!
