The Sudbury Office is looking for a full-time Intermediate Municipal Engineer to join their team.
•Preparation, coordination, and management of preliminary and final designs for subdivisions, urban development, road reconstruction and infrastructure renewal projects, including watermain, sanitary sewers, storm sewers, culverts, roads and grading
•Produce detailed hand sketches, and provide direction to CAD production staff through clear communication
•Preparation and coordination of approvals for above-noted projects, for CGS, MOECC and NDCA as required, including Site Plan Control Agreements
•Preparation of storm water management reports, in conjunction with our senior staff
•Preparation and editing of AutoCAD and Civil 3D design drawings as required
•Preparation and sealing of tender documents, reports, drawings and specifications
•Participation in Contract Administration and inspections where required
•Other duties as appropriate for this position
•A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution.
•Demonstrates superior English communication skills both oral and written.
•7 – 12 years progressive experience in municipal engineering with at least 7 years working in a consultancy capacity.
•Must have a valid P.Eng designation in the province of Ontario.
•Project management (PMP) designation preferred.
•Hydraulic and Hydrologic modelling experience would be an asset.
•Possess a strong ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with staff and clients.
•Experience or aptitude for meeting timelines and budgets, proposal writing, client development and other skills appropriate to consulting.
•Proven capabilities in writing reports and other technical documents.
•Excellent inter-personal skills and ability to work in a collaborative, team environment.
•Extensive experience providing strategic advisory services related to municipal engineering projects and clients is required.
